The best way to clean your Aroma Rice Cooker is not that hard, but a smart thing to do, as you will enjoy your Aroma Rice Cooker for a longer period of time for sure.
Remember to unplug your rice cooker and allow it to cool completely before you clean your rice cooker!
How to clean the inner rice pot:
– take the inner cooking pot out and wash it in warm, soapy water using a nylon sponge or dishcloth.
– then rinse and dry it completely.
– wipe the body of the rice cooker clean with a damp cloth.
How to clean the underside of the Lid:
– at best you clean the underside of the lid after every use.
– detach the inner lid from the shaft by gently tugging it outwards. Then soak it briefly to wash it clean.
– wipe the underside of the lid with a warm, damp cloth and dry it with a soft dry cloth.
– finally place the lid back.
(install the inner lid to the outer lid by pressing the inner lid over the inner lid shaft. After installing the inner lid, the small side of the inner lid seal should face you with the outer lid open. If the inner lid is inserted improperly, the outer lid will not close.)
How to clean the heating plate:
– wait for the plate to be cooled completely, then wipe the heating plate with a warm, damp cloth.
– dry with a soft dry cloth.
It can happen for rice grains, or other dried materials, to stick to the heating plate. In that case, repeat the steps above until the heating plate is completely clean. This to ensure the needed ‘full contact’ between the inner pot and the heating plate. Otherwise, the rice cooker will not close properly and may overheat.
Never use any harsh abrasive cleaners or products that are not considered safe to use on nonstick coatings.
Do not immerse rice cooker base in water or any other liquid. The Aroma Rice Cooker itself is NOT dishwasher safe. Also, keep in mind that some inner pots are NOT dishwasher safe.
We did get this question more than once. And it is a simple yet very fair question.
Therefore we now provide the Instruction Manual at the bottom of each Aroma Rice Cooker page. (if they are available)
Just go to our shop page and pick the rice cooker you want the instruction manual for, or just take a look around.
As soon as you go to a rice cooker you like, click on it, read all about it and at the bottom, you see this:
So now you can already download the manual from your desired Aroma Rice Cooker, even before your purchase.
The Flash Rice function is a button on some of the Aroma Rice Cookers, like the ARC-150SB and the Arc-914SBD for example. Aroma itself describes it as “A great time-saving option for rice in a flash.”
So in short, using this function your rice will be ready much quicker. It will be “An excellent option for cooked rice when short in time.” (again a quote from Aroma).
So if you ask ‘what does flash rice mean’ it’s all about that great function Aroma provides, to serve rice “in a flash.”
You can download here the Aroma ARC-914SBD rice cooker Flash Rice Instruction Manual as an example, to see how the Flash Rice function exactly works.
If you want to see the Aroma Rice Cookers with the Flash Rice function on Amazon, you can click on the button below.
The best question EVER if you ask us.
And the answer can only be: with an Aroma Rice Cooker of course!
No, we are kidding. There are many ways how to cook rice, but we are obviously going to explain the way to do it with a rice cooker. If you don’t have an Aroma rice cooker yet, you can choose one in our shop.
Our simple explanation How To Cook Rice, with an Aroma Rice Cooker:
– use your measuring cup to add your desired amount of rice in the inner pot
– add enough water to match the number of rice cups
– close the lid, plug it in and turn on the rice cooker
– depending which rice cooker you have, you can use any of the Brown Rice, White Rice, Flash Rice, etc functions
– wait until the rice cooker is ready
– when your rice is done, stir the rice before serving
Be sure your rice cooker is clean and ready for use. Also, depending on which rice you use, you may rinse the rice before closing the lid.
Above is the very basic explanation of how to cook rice with an Aroma Rice Cooker. Keep in mind there are many different types of rice available. All with different requirements on how to cook that rice the best way.
For the more detailed explanation of how to cook a perfect rice pot with an Aroma Rice Cooker, we will direct you to each separate rice cooker page. (like the page of the cute, little Aroma mi MRC-903D for example)
At the bottom you find the instruction manuals (if available) for that specific rice cooker.
Now everybody knows how to cook rice!
Especially if you intend to make a great pot of rice.
In general, you can say the water to rice ratio = 1 to 1 and a quarter.
With that ratio, you know you’re good to go.
You can use the included measuring cups, or you can look at the water lines. (Inside of the inner pot of your Aroma Rice Cooker)
Just be sure you do not exceed the Maximum Water line!
